i take it easy and walk friendly into the unknown year. i put my ear to mystic guidance. i listen. That is why my letter for 2012 is Q for quiet, for quest, for question. may my heart be open. what is your letter for the year?Image by o admirador secreto via Flickr
may my heart always be open to little
birds who are the secrets of living
whatever they sing is better than to know
and if men should not hear them men are old
may my mind stroll about hungry and fearless and thirsty and supple for even if it’s sunday may i be wrong for whenever men are right they are not young
and may myself do nothing usefully and love yourself so more than truly there’s never been quite such a fool who could fail pulling all the sky over him with one smile
i choose the letter P….for peace, patience, perseverance, and possibility! and i will use this tonight for a ritual i am creating in our studio and let the students know that it comes from you cynthia! let’s see what we all come up with. i will put the results in my blog post tomorrow.
Not a letter for me – I think it is an animal – the whale. I’ve become fascinated with Moby Dick lately and I also sense things rising up within me that seem to have great proportions. Could rock my world! BaBaRita
I haven’t thought of a letter yet, but the poem by e.e. cummings brought back so much! He was my idol during college. Also really loved Moby Dick! And I’m rereading Thoreau for whom I had such a crush in high school that I thought I would die because I had been born 100 years too late! Maybe it’s a time for rereading the prophets of the past.
During the ritual with Anita last night, I randomly selected the letter “P.” For me, the “P” will mean passion, peace, and partnership for my 2012, and I have already begun to move and play with these three.
Sue Smith says:
S is the letter I choose….for stillness, solitude and surprise!
LIsa says:
Last year my letter was H……I focused on Health, Happiness and Harmony. Every year my womb friends and gather and choose our angel cards for the upcoming year. This year my angel card was Release, so my words for 2012 are Release, Receive, and Radiant.
