I was a guest preacher last Fall at University Congregational United Church of Christ in Seattle. Members of that community delight in embodied creativity which made it fun to share “wisdom of the body” and what I’ve learned about integrating body and soul.
Mysticism is rooted in ordinary embodiment and our growth as “Wonder workers. This sermon is one more expression of the many amazing conversations that go on in the worlds wisdom traditions. It begins with these beautiful words from a sermon by Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus, (the wonder-worker) in the third century.
